Management Recruiters of Cedar Rapids has a heart for giving back to our community. Whether it’s children’s programs, entrepreneurial advocacy, or community assistance programs, we strive to be more than just recruiters and to make a big difference in the Cedar Rapids Corridor and nationwide.
MRI CR has been an annual supporter of the Zach Johnson Foundation since its inception in 2010. The Zach Johnson Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Cedar Rapids children and their families lead happy, healthy lives. We accomplish our goals of improving quality of life, education, and well-being through a number of different fundraising and awareness initiatives.
Kids on Course is a nonprofit program of the Zach Johnson Foundation, in cooperation with the Cedar Rapids Community School District. Kids on Course provides tutoring, enrichment, parent engagement strategies, and health supports to put students on course to graduate college. Each child reaches his or her academic and individual potential through creative and inventive opportunities that connect students and families to the community, schools, and higher learning.

While the original and continued beneficiary is St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Foundation also created the MRINetwork Disaster Relief Fund to assist those in the Network that experience significant financial setbacks due to natural disasters. The Foundation has also made significant donations to other charities, such as Duke Children’s Hospital and Hunter’s Hope Foundation founded by Jim and Jill Kelly.
MRI Cedar Rapids is proud to be an annual sponsor of the Carey Classic Golf Tournament, a fundraiser in memory of Justin Carey. All proceeds directly benefit Justin Carey’s daughter through a college savings fund.
Horizons, A Family Service Alliance is dedicated to providing opportunities for human development to improve the quality of individual and family lives. Horizons provides a variety of human services across East Central Iowa, including Nutrition & Wellness Programs, Financial Wellness Center, Community Based Programs, and Mental Health and Wellness Services.
We are also proud to support Waypoint Services. Their goal is to strengthen and empower individuals who are homeless, living in poverty, or victims of domestic violence; and give children access to gaining the essential skills vital to reaching their full potential through quality child care.
IWLC has evolved from an organization devoted primarily to event sponsorship to a comprehensive statewide, nonprofit resource for all activities, events, opportunities, and organizations devoted to promoting women’s leadership. IWLC inspires and challenges women of all ages, ethnicities, backgrounds, occupations and professional levels through a dynamic exchange of ideas, leadership tools and motivational support from other women leaders.
